FeatureMTX: Tickets

Your Layout Options for Tickets

MTX now has three choices for how tickets are laid out. Each is saved for you and follows you wherever you sign in.

The Top | Right and Cards | List switches beside Ticket properties

Top | Right: where the ticket summary shows its properties (screens 1200 px and wider)

  • Right shows them in a panel beside the notes.
  • Top shows them above the notes, the layout you used before the side panel. Status, priority and board move from the header into the properties, the ticket's age moves onto the Work on Ticket row, and the ticket summary is a little narrower so the notes stay easy to read.
  • The switch is at the end of the Work on Ticket row, or, while on Top, beside Ticket properties.
  • On narrower screens the properties are always at the top, and your choice still decides where status, priority and board are shown.

Cards | List: how the properties are laid out

  • Cards groups the fields into cards, each label above its value.
  • List shows the compact list from before the cards, each label beside its value. It fits more fields on the screen, and shows status, priority and board as fields of the list instead of the pills under the title.
  • The switch is beside Ticket properties in the ticket summary, in the side panel's header, and on the Ticket Properties tab when you work on a ticket. On a phone, the Details tab keeps the cards.

Always show the State and board type bars: the Tickets list

  • Open Board Type Configuration with the gear beside the board type, and tick Always show the State and board type bars.
  • The State filter and every board type, Service to Custom, are then shown as buttons on a row of their own under New Ticket, instead of the Type menu.

The Tickets list's columns, as in the original version

You can also make the Tickets tab look more like the original version:

  • Click the Columns icon beside Filters.
  • Select Company, Contact and Date so they appear as separate columns instead of inside Summary and Assigned.
  • Select Row density: Comfortable.

New members start with the properties on the Right, as Cards, and the Type menu. Change any of them whenever you like.
